August 13, 2020: I am starting this Keto index finally.

Keto update: two years on Keto and I'm doing a Benjamin Buttons transformation.
August 14, 2020: Yesterday a lady posted a question on a Facebook Keto forum as to whether Keto is a life long eating plan or a temporary WOE (way of eating). She has had negative feedback from people who say that Keto is harmful. This is my reply to her post and I added the picture above:

 I wish I found Keto 10 years ago while I was pre-diabetic, following the SAD (Standard American Diet) and the recommendations from the Diabetic associations. Nothing brought my A1C levels down and I just got more sick and tired of being sick and tired. When my A1C went up to 7.3 and my Doctor wanted to start me on medications I said, "Hold up there. Give me 3 months. Schedule a blood test. I'll get back with you." I had been studying up on Keto a little and after that diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes I got serious.

I got rid of all the foods that were making me sick. I stocked up on all the foods that Keto websites and YouTube videos said I was allowed to eat.

In three months my A1C went from 7.3 to 5.3. IN THREE MONTHS. After maintaining that for a couple of years, and losing 40 pounds, my Doctor said, out loud, "You cured yourself of Diabetes." I have a new Doctor now because my former Doctor moved to another county and my new Doctor said, "Keep on doing what you're doing."
I do not have any more arthritic pain. I had no rheumatoid factors in my blood. It was inflammation due to what I was eating. Blood pressure good. All other lab results are good.

I will be 71 years old in 4 days. If two primary care physicians tell me to "Keep on doing what I'm doing" and I'm not on any prescription medications. Then in my opinion Keto is helpful, not harmful.. See the before and after photos.

There are a lot of websites and YouTube channels about Keto. All you have to do is search online for Keto related information. "Keto food list", "Keto easy recipes", "what are allowed foods on Keto", etc. For me to replicate these other online sources would be a waste of my time and you could get better content on websites and YouTube channels that focus solely on Keto.

What I want to do here on my website is share my experience with changing my "way of eating", a.k.a. WOE. Some terms that all use that you'll find on other online Keto locations would be: SAD for "Standard American Diet", SW for "starting weight", CW "current weight", GW "goal weight".

My sister just called. I'll write more later.
August 14, 2020: In a Keto Facebook group a lady was bemoaning how she isn't losing weight quick enough on Keto and she's only been doing it for about a month. This is what I wrote in her comment section...

"Rather than be a slave to the scale I gage my progress by how I feel. Are my hands, shoulders, and ankles pain free? Do I have energy to tackle chores? Is my emotional and psychological mood good? For me it's less about losing weight, or fitting into smaller clothing, it's feeling good in my body.

Stressing about the weight actually puts weight on the body. I just looked that sentence up online and got "Researchers have long known that rises in the stress hormone cortisol can lead to weight gain. Every time you're stressed, your adrenal glands release adrenaline and cortisol, and as a result, glucose (your primary source of energy) is released into your bloodstream"

So like the other ladies have said, "Trust in the process." The weight loss in the beginning is mostly water weight. The plateau is when your body is healing on the inside. The weight loss can be 1-2 pounds a month. So be kind to yourself and give yourself as much time to take off the weight as it took to put it on in the first place. <3
